Did you know that despite Hadrian considered as one of the “five good emperors” of Rome by most historians his reign was marked by extreme cruelty particularly towards the Senators of Rome. One of the first things he did was to have several Senators unlawfully put to death. 
Hadrian was les interested in the expansionist policies of Trajan and more concerned with securing the borders of the empire. He built a wall in Britain marking the northern most reaches of the empire which is known as Hadrians Wall.
